Productions
The 2007 season is a thrilling theatrical ride that includes more intimate
Walsh, another site-specific Carr play, a twenty person cast for Solas
Nua’s first play from Northern Ireland and also our first play
for children.
We
are honored this season to host many of our playwrights including Enda
Walsh and Owen McCafferty and to collaborate with The Northern Ireland
Alliance, Tinderbox Theatre Company (Belfast), The Mead Theatre Lab
Program and Catholic University.

Play Reading Series
The first Monday of every month.
A new play reading series that features some playwrights we have already
produced and others that we hope to produce in the future. DC’s
finest talents read Ireland’s best new plays for free in the coolest
most comfortable settings around.

Film Festival
March 2007 at The Human Rights Campaign.
2nd
Annual Irish Book Day
On March 16th of 2007, Solas Nua will build on the success
of last year’s Book Day when Solas Nua was able to distribute
thousands of contemporary Irish novels for free throughout the D.C.
area.
Monthly
Book Club
Our book club is a lively discussion on a novel or collection of poetry
by one of Ireland's contemporary writers, with occasional guest speakers
and authors to keep the conversation interesting.

Solas Social
Almost every month Solas Nua likes to get together for happy
hour and just relax and meet new people or connect with old friends.
Sometimes there are games, drink specials, giveaways and entertainment
but more often than not it is just an excuse for a couple hours among
friends.
