solas nua has hosted several irish writers over the past few years including anne hartigan, mary morrissy, lucy caldwell, glenn patterson, brian lynch and colum mccann. in 2010 we will take our author readings to the next level and launch the dc irish writers festival, the only festival of its kind in the u.s. from march 11th- 16th we will bring eight contemporary irish writers together for a series of free public events where you can hear the authors talk about and read from their work, ask them about their creative process and hear their opinion about their fellow writers.
