when you think of irish writers who comes to mind? how about a writer who is known for his twitter feed (and feuds!)? or a blogger known for her astute take-no-prisoners online posts? irish writing can be many things and our festival explores it all.

the dc irish writers festival is a 5 day series of short readings from creative and innovative irish writers.  this eclectic mix of performance art, new media and traditional writing opens discussion up for a new interpretation of what defines Irish writing.
