100 years ago, one of the most important works of modernist literature was born - Ulysses by the Irish writer, James Joyce. Centennial celebrations have been conducted throughout the year of Ulysses, which was considered both controversial and groundbreaking.

Solas Nua, a Washington DC based art organization, commissioned Liz Roche Company in Dublin Ireland to create a contemporary dance based on Ulysses. I sat down with Ms. Roche to discuss her work at the Atlas Performing Arts Center.
