Solas Nua announces an expansion of its upcoming theatrical presentation of You’ll See…, adding two new performances at the Atlas Performing Arts Center.

Originally scheduled for a single performance at Spooky Action Theater in Dupont Circle on May 15, the production has generated strong interest. In response, Solas Nua has added two performances on May 16 (2:00 and 4:00 p.m.) at Atlas Performing Arts Center in the H Street Corridor.

The production marks a significant milestone for Solas Nua as its first cross–generational theatre offering specifically for children and families.

“Presenting family theatre programming is new territory for Solas Nua,” said Rex Daugherty, Artistic Director of Theatre at Solas Nua. “I’m particularly excited to share one of Ireland’s greatest literary works in this playful, accessible production. We are grateful to our partners at Spooky Action Theater, Keegan Theatre, and Atlas Performing Arts Center as we expand our reach.”

Produced and performed by Branar, a Galway-based children’s theatre company, You’ll See… is a 45 minute reimagining of Ulyssess. Designed for audiences ages 8 and up, the production transforms James Joyce’s landmark novel into an accessible, engaging theatrical experience for both newcomers and longtime admirers.

Blending live performance, intricate paper design, and an original score, the show brings Leopold Bloom's single-day journey through Dublin to life in a format that resonates across generations.

As part of this inaugural effort to engage younger audiences, Solas Nua is also partnering with a local elementary school, bringing fourth- and fifth-grade students to attend the performance.

“New generations engaging with new Irish art – we love to see it!” said Daugherty.

This collaboration is the first time that Branar and Solas Nua have worked together. After its Washington, DC run, You'll See... will tour to several US venues, including Gaelic Park in Chicago, Celtic Junction Arts Center in St. Paul, and Corrib Theatre in Portland, Oregon.
