Congrats to Oisín Kearney - this year's recipient of Solas Nua's New Voices Award, in partnership with Dublin Fringe Festival! We are delighted that your thrilling play, Good With Faces, will be part of our play reading series next season.
The New Voices Award is an annual part of the Dublin Fringe Festival, awarded to a writer with a singular voice that is making work that speaks to contemporary social, political or cultural issues. Kearney's play illustrates a gripping power dynamic between a mother and a child service government worker. We were deeply impressed with how the play explores the power of the state versus the individual, and how our humanity can be both broken and beautiful.
